The event was connected online to 63 points across the country. Attending the press conference at Tuyen Quang point were comrades: Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nong Thi Bich Hue, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Department.
According to the rules, the content of the Contest focuses on 3 main groups of topics: Protecting, applying and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought in the current context; protecting and spreading the theory of the country's renovation path; spreading and protecting the line connecting the Party's guidelines and policies on renovation and building socialism, identifying and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; practical experience and organization in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.
Contestants are Vietnamese people at home and abroad. The Central Steering Committee of the Contest will award prizes in 5 categories: Magazine, Newspaper, Radio, Television and Video clip. The time for receiving entries starts from the launch date (February 6) to July 15, 2025 (based on the postmark). The announcement and award ceremony is expected to take place in October 2025, on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the 12th Politburo's issuance of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation.
Delegates and reporters from press agencies discussed and clarified new points about the content, topics and rules of the Contest.
Speaking at the press conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, emphasized that the contest aims to continue affirming the important role of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, while raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and people in this task.
The contest aims to summarize a number of theoretical and practical issues over 40 years of national renovation, while also serving the drafting of documents for the 14th National Congress of the Party, towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The contest aims to continue affirming the important role of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the context that the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people are "accelerating" and "reaching the finish line" to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress, commemorating major political events of the country taking place in 2025; implementing strategic decisions and revolutionary transformations to bring the country into an era of rising up to develop richly, strongly, prosperously and well-off.
Raising awareness, capacity and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and the People for the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, associated with preventing political, moral and lifestyle degradation, "self-evolution", "self-transformation"...; "greening" positive information, contributing to strengthening people's trust, creating consensus in society and the support of many international friends.
