Seminar on promoting traditional values of Mother Goddess worship and Truc Lam Zen
Over hundreds of years, two purely Vietnamese religious streams, Mother Goddess worship and Truc Lam Zen, have coexisted in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people in general and the people of Tuyen Quang in particular. It is the harmonious combination of the two religious streams that has contributed to shaping a unique cultural feature of Tuyen Quang, helping Tuyen Quang not only become known as a land of history and revolution but also become a sacred spiritual destination for tourists from all over. Temples, pagodas, and monasteries in Tuyen Quang are not only pilgrimage sites, but also relics containing cultural sediments, spiritual history of the nation, a peaceful space for people to find tranquility and cultivate their souls amidst the hustle and bustle of life.

The seminar focused on discussing issues related to promoting the traditional values of Mother Goddess worship and Truc Lam Zen in the spiritual life of Tuyen Quang people and developing tourism. Scientists, experts, researchers, managers of culture, beliefs and religions affirm that in order for these two beliefs to be truly preserved and promoted in their inherent nature, there needs to be cooperation from many sides, from the government, researchers, practitioners to the community. At the same time, Tuyen Quang is one of the centers of the Mother Goddess worship belief in Vietnam. Buddhism was introduced to Tuyen Quang very early, during the Ly and Tran dynasties. These values help Tuyen Quang orient the development of spiritual tourism.

Speaking at the seminar, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong thanked scientists, experts, researchers, cultural, religious and belief managers who came here to attend the seminar organized by the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang city, clarifying the traditional values of Mother Goddess worship and Truc Lam Zen sect in the spiritual life of Tuyen Quang people. At the same time, he emphasized that in order to meet the cultural and religious needs of the people and promote spiritual values associated with tourism development, Tuyen Quang identified spiritual and cultural tourism as one of three types of tourism contributing to making tourism an important economic sector of the province. In order for spiritual tourism to develop and bring good cultural values, in recent times, along with preserving and maintaining the values of heritage landscapes, Tuyen Quang has built many reasonable tours and tourist routes, creating synchronization, spreading, and unified management in cultural and religious activities associated with tourism development activities. In the coming time, Tuyen Quang province will continue to innovate its approach and apply digital technology to communication and promotion work to spread the value of heritage to the public; the work of preserving and promoting the value of religious and belief heritages needs to be invested in and studied more deeply to create connections between localities, between tangible and intangible heritages. Through cultural and religious activities, we will contribute to further spreading solidarity, love, and helping each other to progress and develop, together implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and implementing the motto and purpose of "living a good life and a good religion". At the same time, it is recommended that functional agencies and cultural management agencies regularly pay attention to, manage, accompany, and orientate religious culture so that it is truly a healthy spiritual and cultural activity, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
