As early as March 2025, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers launched 5 weeks of peak competition for Vietnamese children to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, with the aim of propagating and educating children about the historical significance of the Liberation of the South. Thereby, arousing the love for the homeland, national pride and deep gratitude of today's young generation for the heroic dedication and sacrifice of previous generations for the independence and freedom of the country.
The Provincial Youth Union organized the festival "Healthy Children - Stepping Up to the Union" and launched a response to 5 weeks of peak competition of Vietnamese children to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day.
Through activities to create an environment for children to compete in studying, practicing, and promoting the tradition of "Young age, great ambition" of generations of Vietnamese children. Commendation of exemplary children - Uncle Ho's good children with excellent achievements in studying, practicing, participating in Team work, always striving to become members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. In that joyful atmosphere, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Team Council organized the "Healthy Children - Stepping Up to the Youth Union" Festival at An Tuong Primary School, Tuyen Quang City. This is also an activity to launch a peak emulation movement of children in the whole province to celebrate the great historical event of the nation. The "Healthy Children - Stepping Up to the Youth Union" Festival in 2025 was held simultaneously at primary and secondary school teams across the country and in Tuyen Quang province with the participation of more than 140,000 team members and children in the whole province.

At Yen Nguyen Primary School, Chiem Hoa District, the school board and the Youth Union met and agreed to organize many activities to respond to and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. Teacher Ha Doan Than, Vice Principal of the school, said that this is an opportunity for students to love and be proud of the nation's history, and also an opportunity for teachers to be creative in teaching and promoting history and patriotism to students.
The students in the school enthusiastically participated in the meaningful activities and demonstrated their understanding of the nation's history. They proactively went to the library to read books and then drew pictures on the theme of April 30 through their imagination. Each picture is a perspective on the peace, independence, and freedom of the country, on the heroic soldiers driving tanks into the Independence Palace on the day of victory.
In the activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers has directed the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Children to coordinate with the Vietnam Post Corporation and the Vietnam Stamp Association to organize the 2025 Postage Stamp Collection and Research Contest with the theme "50 years of Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country through postage stamps". Student Luu Hoang Thanh Tra, class 3D, Hong Thai Primary School, Tuyen Quang city was honored to win the third prize nationwide. Thanh Tra had a creative and profound stamp collection and research. Her achievement is a great honor for her family, teachers and children in the province. At the same time, it is a testament to the spirit of serious study, passion and constant improvement of today's generation of students.

In recent times, the Yen Son District Youth Union has also had many practical and meaningful activities contributing to educating historical traditions for young team members and children in the area. In the painting contest "Proud of 50 years - Liberation of the South, reunification of the country" organized by the District Youth Union, nearly 200 paintings participated in the contest. Each work showed the understanding and impression of the young team members about the historic day of April 30, 1975, with 22 paintings winning prizes. Through the contest, the deep feelings and gratitude of the younger generation for the great contributions of our ancestors who heroically sacrificed to regain independence and freedom for the nation were highlighted.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phan, Chairwoman of the Yen Son District Youth Union, said that the District Youth Union has directed the Youth Unions to strengthen propaganda and education for young team members and children about the historical significance of the Southern Liberation Day and the reunification of the country. Organize many diverse and attractive activities so that young team members and children can learn about the history of building and defending the country, thereby loving their homeland and country more, striving to excel in their studies and training. In particular, organize journeys to the source to red addresses, historical revolutionary sites, extracurricular activities, flag-raising activities in many lively and attractive forms. Organize competitions to learn about history, storytelling contests "Uncle Ho with children", launch the movement "Yen Son children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" and many diverse cultural, artistic and sports activities to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for young team members and young people.
Each activity organized at the Youth Unions in the district not only contributes to educating historical traditions and fostering patriotism for students but also creates a competitive atmosphere, exciting and practical to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
